Computer or Electrical Engineer
As a Computer/Electrical Engineer at Woosh you’ll play a critical role in the growth of the company. Your solutions will touch every product we manufacture. We iterate quickly and build custom equipment and software to evaluate our designs. Our products are great because we aren’t afraid to prototype or try crazy ideas.
We’re looking for a self-starter who can figure out the “how”. You will:
- Be hands-on in all aspects of our IoT stack, from I2C sensors, PCBs and firmware all the way to cloud computing and data science.
- Research and experiment by interfacing with external suppliers and designing custom circuits along with software to validate proposed features.
- Design both on-device and cloud algorithms that optimize battery life and data collection/storage.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python programming and Git source control.
- Knowledge of OOP fundamentals and software architecture best practices.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- 3+ years experience in the electronics industry.
- Ability to read and interpret an electronics schematic or datasheet.
- Experience interfacing with low level hardware peripherals and sensors over I2C or RS232.
- Knowledge of BLE/WiFi and digital communications fundamentals.
- Ability to solder basic circuits and wiring harnesses.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Bay Area.
Nice to have experience:
- Proficiency in C programming and experience developing embedded firmware.
- Experience with high volume consumer electronics.
- Experience with the RaspberryPi ecosystem.
- Experience or knowledge of distributed cloud (IoT) architectures.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services (DynamoDB, IoT, Lambda).
